Want to help your kids get better at numbers? In a fun way? Or yourself, seriously, so you can be a better and quicker negotiator when bargaining with numbers (hint: pay raise, VC deal, etc etc)? You dont have to look very far.
Inspired by one of the most popular poker games that kids in China have played for decades, we built this simple, elegant, and addictive app to let you use +-x÷ and 4 random poker cards to get to 24 (or find out that solution doesnt exist), as fast as possible.
All plays are recorded and the trends are shown beautifully on a daily basis, so you can easily see after days, a week or two, or a month, whether your kids or you are becoming a number guru.
Quick Tip #1: use 4 cards once, and only once, and any combinations of +-×÷ to get to 24.
For example:
5 2 7 1: (5-2)*(7+1)=3*8=24
1 3 9 3: (1+3)*(9-3)=4*6=24
3 5 9 10: 3*(10-5)+9=15+9=24
2 7 9 10: (2+10)*(9-7)=12*2=24
4 5 6 1: 6/(5/4-1)=6/0.25=24
2 5 9 9=No Solution
6 9 9 10=No Solution? Wrong: 9*10/6+9=15+9=24
6 9 2 9: (6/9+2)*9=8/3*9=24
1 4 5 6=No Solution? Think again: 6/(5/4-1)=6/(1/4)=24
Quick Tip #2: In the app, you dont even need to enter the ( or ) - just numbers and +-×÷, and the app will know what you mean!
